The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled in my PTIN case that my firm and my co-counsel will get to handle the litigation. Motley Rice LLC, my co-counsel, will be interim class counsel. As such, we will represent tax return preparers across the country and try to recover PTIN fees charged to date, and to cause the Treasury to cease charging for PTINs. Other relief will be sought. Information relating to the case, including a copy of the awarding decision, can be found on my website (bus. & admin law section).
